Erica Elannan, DDS

Dr. Erica Elannan, a native of St. Augustine, Florida, at the age of 17 years old, was one of 18 students selected worldwide for the rigorous, 6 year combined BA/DDS dental program at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Dr. Elannan completed a typical 4 year BA degree in only 2 years, subsequently entering in with the University’s 80 conventional 4-year DDS students to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, all in a mere 6 years rather than the typical 8-year dental curriculum. Dr. Elannan developed her aesthetic skills and artistic vision through, completing a Cosmetic Internship located in Phoenix, Arizona.  Out of the original 18 students, Dr. Elannan was one of only 11 students to actually complete the program, graduating the program  with honors in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Elannan graduated the dental program at the age of 23 years old making her one of the youngest dentists practicing in the country. Post graduation holding board certifications in multiple states, she began her career opening a Cosmetic Surgery Center in St. Augustine, Florida.

Michelle Carlotti, MD, DDS

Michelle Carlotti, MD, DDS was born on Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico. Her parents Ralph and Lillian are retired teachers in the U.S. Department of Defense and her older brother Ralph is a Captain for AirTran Airlines.

Dr. Carlotti began her undergraduate training at Arizona State University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of California, San Diego. She then earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California in Los Angeles, graduated with High Honors and was awarded membership in Omikron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honors Society. Dr. Carlotti was then accepted to The University of Texas at Southwestern Medical School. After earning her Medical Degree, she then completed a one-year Internship in General Surgery. Following this, Dr. Carlotti continued her training, completing a Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is Board Certified by the ABOMS. She is a member of the American Medical Association, The American Dental Association, and is privileged at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center. We are proud that she is the only dual-degree, female Maxillofacial and Cosmetic Surgeon in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Dr. Michelle Carlotti is a teacher at the National Esthetics Institute and lectures on modern techniques in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery.  She shares this passion for earning and providing continuing education and she has lectured across the country.

While in medical school in Dallas, Dr. Carlotti met and was married to her husband, Dr. Albert Carlotti. In addition to being the only husband-and-wife team in their specialty in the continental United States, they are the proud parents of a six year-old little girl, Victoria Rose and a two year-old, Samantha Lauren. The Carlottis own the Desert Palm Surgical Group and operate the Desert Palm Surgical Center, which opened in May 2002.

Michelle Carlotti DDS, MD works closely with Erica Elannan, DDS ensuring the highest quality dental care is provided to our patients. Dr. Carlotti performs all aspects of oral surgery, including: extractions, bone grafts, periodontal surgery, implant placements and reconstructive oral and facial surgeries. Together, they bring comprehensive quality dental care under one roof resulting in a unique blend of caring fused with excellence in dental treatment.

Tracy Tarver, Dental Assistant

Tracy grew up in a Northwest suburb of Chicago . She attended school at Illinois State University. She started her dental assisting career in the Chicago area. She moved to Phoenix in 1993, here she met her husband, and has twin girls, Catherine and Taylor. She lives in Anthem with her family which includes a dog and two cats. Tracy has many years of dental office experience, with many hours of dental cosmetic training. She works as Dr. Elannan's dental assistant and has been here since the office opened in 2004. When she is not working, she is busy with her family on camping trips, hiking and bike riding. She enjoys reading and walking her dog.

Sarah Closson, Registered Dental Hygienist

Sarah was raised in Portland, Oregon, where she lived until graduating from High School. Following graduation, she moved to Arizona for a change of scenery. She attended Phoenix College for Dental Hygiene and later received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Arizona University. Sarah has been practicing hygiene since 2002. She lives in Anthem with her husband and three wonderful boys: Austen, Tanner and Aedan. Sarah enjoys spending her leisure time boating, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Trisha Antell, Dental Assistant

Trish was raised in Petaluma, California. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Santa Rosa College in 1995, and has been a dental assistant ever since. She is very skilled in her work and loves what she does.  She lives in Desert Hills with her husband Paul, her two boys, Brandon and Russell, 3 dogs and 3 cats. She strives to help people achieve a healthy and beautiful smile while providing them as much comfort as possible.

Sarah Stetson, Patient Care Coordinator

Sarah is from New York and she has been in Dentistry since 1998. Sarah lives in Anthem with her husband, Jeff, daughter Shelby and son Landen. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, reading on her Kindle and watching football.  Sarah is a speed reader and she also has a photographic memory when it comes to numbers.  We are always amazed by her abilities and truly enjoy her passion for dentistry!

Jamie Williams, Patient Care Coordinator

Jamie is originally from Santa Cruz, California and has been in dentistry for over 7 years. She has a wide range of knowledge and experience from not only in private dental practices, but also corporate offices.  She is currently a dedicated full-time student and going back to get her Bachelors in Business with a minor in Marketing and Public Relations. She lives in Tramonto and enjoys doing anything that is outside with her 8 year old black lab. She spends her free time with her wonderful family and loves being an older sister to her 13 year old brother and 9 year old sister.

Jammie Lynn Shaughnessy, Dental Hygienist, BS, BA, Owner

Jammie was born and raised in Los Angeles. She received her degree in Psychology from San Diego State University in 1994 and then earned a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene in 1997 from the University of Southern California 's School of Dentistry . She worked in a private specialty practice in Brentwood, Beverly Hills and Pasadena , CA for 11 years before she became the owner of North Valley Family Dentistry. She continues to deliver quality care to the patients while managing the office. She strives to make the workplace feel like a home away from home for the employees and patients. The care of the patients and employees is first priority at North Valley Family Dentistry. Jammie lives in Anthem with her husband Scott and daughter, Sophia. Jammie and her family enjoy a healthy lifestyle by getting out in nature as much as possible, biking, hiking and swimming.
