If you don’t know Katie or her story, she is a bright and fun loving, 16-year-old sophomore at Boulder Creek High School who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bone and Lung Cancer in October 2011. Her insurance costs $5,000 a month and we want to help her family cover the costs. Katie is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will be for the next year - it will be the fight of her life and we want to do everything we can to help. Wondering how you can help Katie? We have TWO options for you to offer your help and support.

Project New Hope International
This past summer (2011) my 14 year-old son and I traveled to Trujillo, Peru with a team from Project New Hope International and Fellowship Church in Anthem. We went to bring a little heaven to earth to an extremely challenged area where thousands of precious children and their families live on a few dollars a day - if they've somehow figured out a way to earn even that much.
The trip was life-changing in so many ways!
We played countless hours of soccer and other games with the kids, worked construction to help improve living conditions, dressed up as clowns and threw birthday parties for kindergarten classes, worshipped together in Barrio house churches and, overall, tried to be a blessing to these families in need.
I want to say a BIG, HUGE, INCREDIBLE thank you to Dr. Elannan and North Valley Family Dentistry in Anthem. On very short notice, Dr. E. and the North Valley Family team donated wonderful, brand new toothbrushes that we took with us to Peru and passed out to many needy children during birthday parties. As you can see from these pictures, the children loved receiving their toothbrushes and, most importantly, our hope is that these toothbrushes will improve the children's quality of life. As you probably know, everything in our bodies is connected; if we're having mouth and teeth issues it affects our entire well-being. So, again, Dr. E. and North Valley Family,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BLESSING THESE CHILDREN IN A WAY THAT'S CONSISTENT WITH YOUR MISSION!
Our family (my wife and I and our three children) have been under Dr. E's care at North Valley Family Dentistry for two years and (not in my opinion because this is fact!) there is no greater dentist anywhere! Not only has our family received, and continues to receive, the absolute best treatment, but we know beyond a shadow of a doubt (and this means the world to us) that Dr. E. genuinely cares for our family and has our best interests and health at heart. We trust her and her team fully!
Thanks, again, Dr. E. and North Valley Family staff, for everything! Thank you for always taking care of our family here in Anthem and thank you for helping to take care of the precious children of Peru!
Blessings!
Jonathan Roe (and our entire family)

We would like to thank our loyal patients for giving to help fight breast cancer. Our patients raised $1,000 and NVFD matched that at $1,000 to total $2,000 and 100% of the funds were given to the Susan G. Komen Fund.
